- Official performance test confirms up to 5,205 TPS… high-performance blockchain mainnet verified
- Recognized for technological excellence with Venture Certification, KISA Commendation, KOICA ODA partnership
- R&D center to focus on core technologies such as mainnet, AI-based DID wallet, fiat-pegged token platform
Seoullabs Inc. (CEO: Dohee Jang), a blockchain and fintech company, announced on November 6 that it has completed the establishment of its corporate-affiliated research institute, officially registered and certified by the Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT.
With this move, Seoullabs will strengthen its research and development capabilities, focusing on its core proprietary technologies: a high-performance blockchain mainnet, an AI-powered DID (Decentralized ID) integrated “Super Wallet,” and a fiat-pegged token issuance and circulation platform.
Earlier, Seoullabs had its blockchain mainnet performance officially tested by KTR (Korea Testing & Research Institute), a nationally accredited testing agency under KOLAS (Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme). According to the performance report, the mainnet recorded up to 5,205 TPS for write transactions and 9,269 TPS for read transactions. During a live test simulating 100,000 concurrent transactions, the average block creation time was under 1 second, and average transaction latency was measured at 0.651 seconds—demonstrating one of the highest levels of performance among domestic and global blockchain platforms.
Compared to other major global Layer-1 blockchains, Ethereum operates at 15–30 TPS in practice, Solana averages around 1,000 TPS with a block finality time of 12.8 seconds, and Bitcoin is limited to fewer than 10 TPS. In this context, Seoullabs’ performance results place it among the top-tier in real-world applicability, particularly optimized for digital government and payment infrastructure that demands fast response and parallel processing.
Based on this technical strength, Seoullabs was recently officially certified as a “Technology-Innovation Venture Company” by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The company was also honored with a commendation by the President of the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) in recognition of its contributions to the development of the blockchain industry. In addition, it was selected as an official cooperation partner under KOICA’s ODA (Official Development Assistance) program, enabling it to play a leading role in digital infrastructure development projects in developing nations.
CEO Dohee Jang stated, “Establishing our research institute marks not just a physical milestone, but a long-term strategic investment in R&D and our proprietary technological capabilities. We are committed to delivering global-level blockchain infrastructure optimized for real-world use under our philosophy of ‘Forget Blockchain.’”
In October, Seoullabs participated in Money20/20 USA, the world’s largest fintech conference, as part of Seoul Fintech Lab’s overseas support program. There, it held 1:1 meetings with major global blockchain and finance firms such as Circle, Fireblocks, and Uphold, and discussed strategies for entering the U.S. and Latin American markets. The company also held an official briefing with the startup support department of the Nevada state government to explore local entry strategies, legal systems, and collaboration opportunities.
Seoullabs plans to continue expanding globally with projects including participation in CES 2026, digital government infrastructure projects in Laos, and DID-based identity platforms in the Philippines and Vietnam.
