Web3 blockchain development company SeoulLabs announced on the 8th that it will introduce a 36-hour workweek starting in 2026, adopting a “4.5-day workweek” that includes early dismissal on Fridays. The company aims to reduce total working hours while increasing collaboration efficiency and execution speed, ultimately maximizing performance compared to the previous year.

SeoulLabs stated that the goals of the new policy include improving employee focus, enhancing productivity through AI-driven workflows, expanding employee benefits, and attracting top talent. To support this shift, the company plans to advance repetitive task automation, strengthen project-based collaboration systems, and upgrade schedule and performance management, fostering an organizational culture that enables teams to concentrate more deeply on core priorities.

Throughout 2025, SeoulLabs expanded both its operational footprint and external credibility. The company relocated its headquarters after being selected as a resident company of the Seoul Fintech Lab, and also established a Busan branch by moving into the Busan International Financial Center (BIFC) Blockchain Hub. SeoulLabs additionally obtained Venture Company Certification (Innovative Growth Type) from Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and received the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) Award for Contributions to Blockchain Industry Promotion (Organization category). Its proprietary mainnet also completed high-performance verification by a KOLAS-accredited testing institution.

Global momentum is also continuing. SeoulLabs has been selected as a participating company for the CES 2026 Seoul Pavilion and confirmed its exhibition at Eureka Park following approval by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). The company was also selected as an implementing organization for KOICA’s ODA CTS Seed2 program, further expanding its international collaboration base. At CES, SeoulLabs plans to showcase its “Super Wallet”, a unified solution combining AI and blockchain, and present its roadmap for global expansion, including a KRW stablecoin issuance platform and other blockchain-based initiatives.

Alongside technology advancement, SeoulLabs is accelerating talent acquisition. The company plans to expand hiring with a focus on candidates with strong technical capabilities and global experience, positioning its work policy and organizational environment as key competitiveness drivers to strengthen its growth foundation.

Dohee Jang, CEO of SeoulLabs, said, “The 4.5-day workweek is not simply about reducing working hours—it marks the beginning of an organizational transformation that combines AI and collaborative systems to achieve the same goals faster and more precisely.” He added, “In 2026, we will push forward technology advancement, global market expansion, and talent acquisition in parallel—and clearly prove SeoulLabs’ growth.”
