- KOICA ODA-linked project expansion into Southeast Asia praised for future scalability and technology commercialization
Seoullabs Inc. (CEO: Dohee Jang), a blockchain development company, has received an official group commendation from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) in recognition of its contributions to the promotion and advancement of the blockchain industry and technology. The award was presented during the “Blockchain Promotion Week X Web3.0 Conference” held from November 4 to 5, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and co-organized by KISA and the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP).
This commendation acknowledges Seoullabs’ overall achievements in technology development, global business, and industry expansion. In particular, the company’s proprietary high-performance K-Blockchain mainnet technology, and its practical deployment in national digital infrastructure projects, received high praise.
Seoullabs signed a 15-year long-term MOA (Memorandum of Agreement) with the Laotian government and has been leading the transformation of Laos’ national e-Government system using blockchain. The project is carried out in connection with the Official Development Assistance (ODA) program of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), establishing a solid foundation for the stable delivery of Korean blockchain technology to the Southeast Asian market.
Starting with Laos, Seoullabs plans to expand its solutions for decentralized identity (DID), e-documents, and payments to neighboring countries such as the Philippines and Vietnam. Prior to this, the company has already proven its technical competitiveness through its “Super Wallet” solution, which integrates a high-performance mainnet with AI-based DID technology, and was officially certified as a Venture Business by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Among the technologies recognized by this award, the Seoullabs blockchain mainnet is notable for the following features:
- PoW + XPBFT dual-chain structure
- Over 4,000 TPS (transactions per second)
- Sub-1 second finality
- Full EVM compatibility
- Low transaction fees
These characteristics make the platform highly suitable for blockchain-based payments and microtransactions in both domestic and international applications.
Through this KISA commendation, Seoullabs once again reaffirmed its position as a leading blockchain company based on domestic technology. During the Blockchain Promotion Week, Seoullabs was also selected as an official exhibitor and operated a booth to introduce its solutions to global investors and public officials.
CEO Dohee Jang stated,
“This award from KISA is an encouragement to strengthen our efforts in both technology development and global business. Under the vision of ‘Forget Blockchain,’ we will continue to promote practical digital infrastructure globally so that anyone can easily enjoy the benefits of K-Blockchain technology.”
Seoullabs plans to accelerate the expansion of its blockchain-based public and financial infrastructure, with a focus on scalability, user accessibility, and global applicability.
